Shipping and Returns



The Soap Kitchen ships 2 to 3 day Priority Mail and Express Mail (overnight) via the United States Postal Service. Most orders are processed within 3 business days. Each order can only be shipped to one address. If shipping to more than one address, a separate order must be placed for each shipping destination.

Orders for Soap Cakes and Favors may take up to 4 weeks to complete, depending on the size of the order. Please call us at 626.396.9996 with any special requests.

Note: Express Mail service will not be available for orders being sent to P.O. Boxes or Military APO/FPO addresses.

International Orders

We at The Soap Kitchen want you to be as passionate about our products as we are about making them. Returns or exchanges are accepted in original saleable condition within 7 days of receiving the package. Please contact us at 626-396-9996 for a return authorization (RA#) before sending any items to us.

Soap Cakes and Favors are considered custom orders and can not be returned. If you are unsure about your selection, we suggest ordering a few designs before placing your final order.

Please pack the items carefully and try to use the original packaging if possible. Please insure your shipment as lost shipments are the sender's responsibility. All returns or exchanges must be accompanied by an invoice or packing slip. Returns or exchanges can also be brought in to our retail location in Old Pasadena, CA.

We will issue a refund or exchange once we have inspected the items. Credit or debit card refunds will be issued to the card that was used on the original purchase. Please retain your return shipping receipt and invoice or packing slip until you have received your refund or exchange. It may take up to two billing cycles for the refund to appear on your statement. All shipping and handling fees, as well as gift wrap fees, are non-refundable.

Damaged or Incorrect Merchandise

Please inspect your order upon delivery. All damaged and incorrect orders must be brought to our attention within 3 days of receiving the package. Please retain the original packaging, and the packing slip or invoice. To return damaged or incorrect items, please contact us at 626-396-9996.

Gift Returns

Gift recipients will receive a store credit to be used in-store or over the phone.

Rewards Points

The Soap Kitchen offers rewards points for online purchases of most of our soaps and gift sets containing soaps. Certain restrictions apply. You can redeem these points for discounts off of future orders. Points are not awarded on orders in which any other discounts are used, and points are not awarded on orders in which rewards points are redeemed. The Soap Kitchen reserves the right to discontinue the Rewards Points program at any time.


Due to the hand-made and hand-cut nature of our soaps, each bar is unique in shape and weight.  We do everything we can to make sure that our customers get what they pay for, if not more.  Orders with multiple soaps may contain soaps of varying weight, but the average weight of all the bars should be as stated if not more.
