Holiday Shopping Event
We're reuniting with One Colorado for a one-day holiday shopping event on Saturday, December 13 in the courtyard from 1pm - 6pm. Place your orders online by December 8 (or earlier) so you're sure to get everything you want. Choose "Prearranged Pickup" and leave a note in the comments that you'd like to pickup at the Holiday Bazaar. After nearly 20 years in Old Pasadena, our lease has ended and we are now ONLINE ONLY.
We'll still be in Pasadena and offer local deliveries so we can see your beautiful faces, but we won't have a retail location anymore. We plan to hold pop-ups during the holidays and offer more hands-on workshops, so stay tuned!

Our Story
The Soap Kitchen is a mother/daughter micro business established in Old Pasadena, California in 2003. We believe that going plastic-free and back to basics with bar soaps instead of liquid is the wave of the future. All of our soaps are handmade from scratch, hand-cut, and hand-wrapped by just the two of us. By keeping our promise to use only the finest essential oils and herbs in our centuries-old soap making process, our end product has, and always will be, gentle and hydrating on the skin, healthy for the body, and never overwhelming to the nose. Besides being plastic-free, here’s another great reason to switch to soap bars: making liquid soap uses about five times more energy than making soap bars. Liquid soaps usually have synthetic lathering agents or sulfates, which can irritate your skin and cause allergic reactions. Plus, because they have water in them, they often have harmful preservatives like parabens, which are known to disrupt hormones and can cause cancer. So, not only is our soap healthier and gentler on your body, but it’s also better for our planet! Move over bottles. The bar is back!
